Care Guide

Human hair rewards patience. A gentle routine keeps the texture soft and the lace intact.

The routine

Washing
Detangle gently from the ends first. Wash in cool water with a sulphate-free shampoo, working downward rather than scrubbing at the lace. Condition from mid-shaft to ends and rinse cool.
Drying
Squeeze out water — never wring or twist. Blot in a towel piece by piece, then air-dry on a wig stand. Do not style while wet.
Conditioning
Deep condition weekly with regular wear. A light oil applied before washing helps the hair stay soft.
Heat
Human hair can be curled, straightened and restyled, but keep heat moderate and always use a heat protectant. Repeated high heat is the fastest way to lose texture.
Storage
Store on a wig stand or mannequin head so the cap keeps its shape, away from direct sunlight. Satin-wrap curly textures overnight.
Combing
Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers, not a regular brush, and avoid combing daily — especially on wave and curl patterns.

Lace care

HD Swiss lace is deliberately fine, so it needs the softest handling of anything on the wig. Remove adhesive with a proper remover rather than pulling, keep the lace dry when you are only washing the hair, and never brush across the knots at the hairline.

Colour

Where a product page states the hair is natural black without chemical treatment and suitable for darker colours only, treat that as the limit — lifting to blonde on that piece is not supported. Coloured pieces such as 99J burgundy, ginger and highlight blends arrive already processed and should be washed cool to hold tone.

Care questions

How do I care for a water wave wig?+

Wash with cool water and sulphate-free shampoo, condition mid-shaft to ends, then squeeze — never wring. Apply a leave-in or curl cream while damp, scrunch the wave pattern with your hands and air-dry on a stand. Refresh between wears with a water and leave-in mist rather than brushing.

How long does a virgin human hair wig last?+

Lifespan depends on wear frequency, heat use and washing. Worn regularly and cared for gently — cool washes, weekly deep conditioning, low heat, stored on a stand — human hair wigs commonly stay in good condition for many months of daily wear. Frequent high heat and daily brushing shorten that considerably.

How often should I wash my wig?+

For daily wear, once a week is a good rhythm, with a deep conditioner each time. For occasional wear, wash every 8 to 10 wears or when product build-up makes the hair feel heavy.
